There is no guarantee that failures of equipment or fittings in your home or business premises will not crop up even if you have an established regime for planned maintenance in place. If your doors are in need of emergency service you will receive a swift response from us to prevent further loss or degradation or remain in compliance with the law. This is reactive maintenance.
It is, of course, wise to have regular planned maintenance. It will save you time, money and inconvenience in the long run. If you wait for problems to come up they are very likely to be serious. Planned maintenance will considerably reduce the risk of this happening and minimise the seriousness of anything that does go wrong. Essentially it is an aspect of asset management. We offer a comprehensive planned and reactive maintenance service for all makes and types of door system, and we conduct a risk assessment to determine how often this should be done. For example, if a door only gets light use a suitable plan might be just once every year.
If it is busy at some times and quiet at others (say at a Budgens or Co-op store) twice a year would be more appropriate. For a very busy door (say a hospital door) the recommendation is three times a year. A risk assessment for a door used by vulnerable people, which will, therefore, require a greater frequency of maintenance, will indicate what we will offer.
